[boss djs takeover]
I've been producing podcast mixtapes with my friends under the group name; Boss Djs. We hang out, and play vinyl records from our personal collections and record it to cassette tape. I process it to share via free mp3 downloads and handing out disc [cd-r] copies. Visit www.bossdjs.tumblr.com to download some hour-plus long mixes of soul, funk, punk, rock, jazz, reggae, comedy, indie, hip hop goodness- track listings are posted too!
[my voice on vinyl}
This is the first example of my voice on vinyl. However, it's woven in the mix with the band's backing vocals on "I Hate Sports I Hate Kids I Hate You" -but still, it's there man.

My good friends in WHIFF just put out their debut 7" single!
Two of my photos were used for the layout on WHIFF 's new 7-inch "Warm/ Left at Princess". This is Wallride Record's 20th release; "Two fast ultra catchy power pop songs that bring to mind both the early LOOKOUT catalogue and the downstroked rhythms and infectious melodies of the MARKED MEN. 300 copy split release with SP RECORDS in Japan, on black, green and blue vinyl." Go to wallriderecords.com and pick up a copy from their online store!

Entire Boss DJ mixtape catalog now available for free download!!!
...Over 30 hours of mixtapes with the Boss DJs (Brad Writer, Darick Sater, Mike Stearns, Nick Geppert, and Kevin Alban) spinning records from their own collections using two turntables and a microphone. The dj sessions were recorded to a Nakamichi DR-2 cassette tape recorder; using the power of analog to absorb microphone feedback, low frequency rumbles, and spikes between record transitions.

...performing "Shocked" at Hott Fest 2012
Photo courtesy of CLYDE HYDE. I wrote a song called “Shocked” and performed it with Misuser. Hott Fest June 23, 2012. I couldn’t hear myself too well amongst the drums and guitars, so I had to raise my pitch to match up- I read the lyrics cause there were too many words to remember.

Goin' Back to Maryland- Brad Writer
This is a music video I made for my video production class. The song was from my February Album Writers Month project back in 2007. Just click on the picture to open the video in a new tab.
Escaping Carroll County
Click on the picture->Takes you to my bandcamp->download the songs.
"boy" (paint markers, acrylic paint, sharpies, scrap paper)
This is the artwork that I have decided to use as the album cover for a collection of my earliest recordings.
The name of the album is "Escaping Carroll County" I wrote and recorded all the songs myself, and the tracks span several years of musical exploration. Circa 2005-2008. Click on the picture to go to my bandcamp and download the songs.
